A 31-year-old South Asian motorcyclist suffered a head injury and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a semi-conscious state.

Officers attending the scene carried out initial enquiries and detected alcohol on the breath of the 58‑year‑old driver, surnamed Ngan, whose car allegedly struck the motorcycle.

He failed a preliminary breathalyser test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He is being detained for further investigation.
