As much at fault as the driver is for speeding (guessing he was anyway) and not stopping, I'm finding it hard to feel too bad for the skateboarder after going into the middle of the road like that, at night.

poor bugger, I doubt the driver, even if he were going slower would have had time to stop in time. However if the driver where going slower the skateboarder may have just come away with some broken bones. One minute you are here and the next your gone. I feel bad for the parents also.
