Fuel Tanker Truck Tip Over Crash Against Ring Road Pillar
In the early hours of Monday, May 26, a gasoline- laden truck overturned in Mexico City. The tanker belonging to Petróleos Mexicanos lost control and overturned , and the unit also crashed into one of the columns on the second floor of the Periférico elevayed ring road. The tanker was carrying 30,000 liters of fuel, which spilled onto the road. A private vehicle was traveling in the area at the time of the collision, but was not hit by the tanker and escaped unharmed. According to the SSC, the driver of the vehicle lost control while negotiating a curve, causing the truck to overturn. The crash caused a structural beam to shift, prompting the evacuation of 150 people and closing the highway for over 16 hours. Emergency services, including Mexico City police and firefighters, managed the scene. The driver was injured and hospitalized, but no fatalities were reported. |

It must have been such a rich mixture that the impact couldn't sustain combustion, you'd expect a few sparks from that impact Tankers like this should, in sensible countries anyway, not use a negative earth and have a sealed electrical system, but yes, amazing the vapour cloud didnt find an ignition source |
