I dont know if its the same in the US as it is here in the UK. But if a police car is speeding and gets flashed by a speed camera, they instantly have to alert their control to the fact. Otherwise the system shows that they were speeding and they have to explain why they were driving that way.

Thats interesting, I doubt coppers over here would do that, they are entitled to get away with 99% of everything.

Some cities, Newark, NJ and Newport News, VA for example have speed cams at almost every intersection facing multiple directions.
