In Congo, a wooden pedestrian bridge costing $2 million collapsed on the day of its opening: the structure could not withstand the first crowd. The project was designed and built by the company of the country's president. This is not the first case as in 2022, another bridge in the country collapsed immediately after the ribbon-cutting. |
