Being a motorcycle rider, we're taught to always search and evaluate our surroundings. Clearly, the scooter rider could have slowed down assuming worst case scenario of the person being in the way, thus avoiding the accident altogether. However, I have no clue why the woman would be in the middle of street. Fault on both sides.
