Hubei, China. A motorist, driving a white sedan, rammed his car into a crowd of students and parents outside a primary school on Wednesday.

A dozen to twenty students were reportedly hit by the car. However, specific details on a motive or injuries have not yet been confirmed by officials in China.

In 2020, China recorded 244,674 road traffic accidents, with the total number of accidents and injuries varying in other recent years but showing a downward trend in major accidents since 2019.

Road traffic injuries remain a significant public health concern, with the WHO estimating over 250,000 deaths annually.


So around 670 daily accidents but a lot of those deaths come from motorcyclists/scooter/bicyclists and bystanders deaths i reckon.

In U.S. over 6 million car accidents leading to 42,000 deaths and 2,6 mill people injured.
