lol I hit a black bear once but only clipped his head....jaw was broken and was knocked out for a bit.... was at night too, seen oncoming traffic and a transport truck ended up taking it out.... felt bad for the bear!

Very doubtful it's okay, probably suffered massive internal injuries. They do the same thing after getting shot, they run for like a few minutes and just collapse.
