The bike rider was fucking stupid to try to do what he did, but damn, that's full on attempted murder on the car drivers part (especially if the bike rider was a cop, regardless of why). That's some pretty instant karma for the car to wreck so spectacularly tho! Poor people in the white SUV, wrong place wrong time and blamo, totaled vehicle.  |

Am I mistaken or is that the commuter lane? Aren't there supposed to be vehicles with two or more people in the commuter lane?

It looks like a "cars only" lane (mc also ok) that you sometimes see in CA on uphill grades to keep the trucks from slowing everything down.

I have driven that area quite a few times. It is a commuter lane, 2 people or a bike only. In southern CA a lot of the commuter lanes have double yellow lines to keep people from merging in and out the the commuter lane except for specific areas. I heard from another report the car crossed the double yellow and almost took out the bike and that is were the conflict started. Regardless, the car only had 1 person, so the car was wrong from the get-go. Still motorcyclist was a moron for trying to kick the car, he's lucky he didn't end up under the wheels...  |
