Going out for the first ride of the season and a dog ended it prematurely. The rider on the first bike had some road rash, bruised bones, and bruised kidney.

I cannot tell if they swerved before hitting the dog or not, but in my rider's course, they tell you to ride straight ahead and run the animal over. Trying to swerve only means you will lay down. You can avoid the animal if you have room to maneuver, but if not, straight and steady.........

That guy in the semi tractor - total hero. He slammed on the screamers and gave a little tread to save a life. Everyone walked - in a year it won't matter. Lives saved - go have fun.
