Re: Biker with GoPro Hits Truck Head-on on Californian Mountain Road
l live about 15 minutes away from where this happened. That road he was on is well known for cycling and biking. But there's a lot of blind corners that make it pretty dangerous. |

Re: Biker with GoPro Hits Truck Head-on on Californian Mountain Road
Luck and wearing safety gear gave him his only chance at surviving. I hate motorcycles. My brother survived 2 1/2 years in a fucking war zone called Iraq only to die in a motorcycle accident after only being home for good for 4 weeks. He died 4 years ago last week and it has been hell. I'm glad this guy got a second chance.

Re: Biker with GoPro Hits Truck Head-on on Californian Mountain Road
He wasn't riding that quick, but was a long way behind his buddy. I'd say he was a bit of a newbie and panicked when he saw that truck. The bend was not tight, he was well inside his safety zone, just over reacted. I bet the truck driver is glad there was a Go pro, or the finger would be pointing at him for being on the wrong side. I saw a similar case in the U.K. where the biker said the truck had I put the corner, and wiped him out. Truck driver had a dash cam, showed the biker doing exactly what this guy I'd. I have a 1200 Bandit, been riding all my life, and I ride slower now than I ever did before. I'm 57 years old and I learned a few things along the road.... |
