Audi 80 Strikes a Cyclist Hard That Runs a Red Light on a Crosswalk
An Audi 80 struck a cyclist on Planernaya Street in St. Petersburg after the cyclist reportedly crossed an intersection on a crosswalk and having the red light. The cyclist was thrown into the windshield, suffering injuries that required hospitalization. The driver fell to the ground in shock, experiencing temporary leg failure from stress while calling emergency services. https://www.fontanka.ru/2026/08/03/76567493/ |

Fun fact: Spandex is the word expands with the letters rearranged. Curiously, instead of using Spandex as their brand name for this segmented polyurethane copolymer, DuPont chose to call it Lycra™.

Re: Audi 80 Strikes a Cyclist Hard That Runs a Red Light on a Crosswalk
I had two Audi 80, a 1984 Audi 4000s Quattro (USA changed 80 to 4000 for marketing) and a 1981 Audi 4000s. The Quattro was a cool looking car, mine was black, 5 speed. It turned on a dime, the wheels were independent. Reliability was VW reliability, electric problems. A car with soul that broke down, thats why Americans prefer souless reliable jap cars.
