Almost Broke His Leg Because He Couldn't Wait For The Ferry To Land

A man nearly lost his left leg after his failed attempt to jump from a ferry that was about to land. Citing a GiroPortal.Com media report, the incident happened in Miritituba, near Itaituba province, Brazil last Saturday. At the time of the incident, the victim Luiz Henrique da Silva Pantoja, 27, was on the upper deck of the ferry. He tried to jump off the ferry as the water transport tried to land but slipped due to the slippery floor surface. The victim was then seen falling to the ground before he was hit by the iron door of the ferry.

Even more unfortunate, he had to endure the pain for several minutes before being helped by members of the public. The victim was then sent to the nearest port using a boat to be given emergency treatment. It is understood that the victim who almost broke his left leg was immediately sent to Tapajos Hospital for follow-up treatment. It is understood that the victim is currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) due to his injuries. Following the incident, the local authorities advised the public not to do the same thing to prevent the tragedy from happening again.
