Scotland, Nov 28 2010 Six customers' vehicles, including a collector's Saab and a 1972 Beetle, were completely crushed in Sunday evening's incident at R G Consort (2001) Ltd, an MoT testing and vehicle repair business on the corner of Douglas Street and Blinshall Street in Dundee.

Several businesses adjacent to the premises have been banned from entering their buildings due to structural instabilities that affect them.

Talking through tears, director of R. G. Consort Angela Murray said she had no idea when the business would get up and running again but pointed out the situation could have been a lot worse.

"We just keep thinking that if it had happened this morning there would have been fatalities," said Mrs Murray.



The roof collapse happened on Sunday night but was not discovered until Mrs Murray's husband Jim went in to work on Monday morning.

One of his first actions prevented what could have been a potentially serious incident.

"He switched the gas off at the mains and phoned the fire brigade and the gas board," said Mrs Murray. "When the gas people arrived they said there was a leak."

Closed circuit television shows the exact moments when the 7000 square feet of roof came crashing down, leaving the little that remains in a perilous state.

last winter here in Northern, Virginia we had three blizzards hit us within a two month spam. About 2-3 feet per storm. It wiped out so many homes and the biggest incident was a ice skating rink that had their rood collapse and destroy the place. No matter how well built a home/business is, several feet of wet snow will take it down.
