3 Injured when Speedy Toyota Jumps Highway Median and Crashes with a Truck
On Sunday evening, a speeding Toyota driver lost control of the car during heavy rain and strong winds on National Highway 16. The vehicle skidded, due to hydroplaning and jumped the road divider backwards before colliding with an oncoming truck. The car got heavily damaged and eventually came to rest in a nearby field. Three individuals were in the vehicle returning from a pilgrimage to a local Temple. M.P, 35, and A.B, 36, remain in crital condition while A.P, 44 sustained minor injuries. The two critically injured victims were initially taken to Palasa Government Hospital but have since been transferred to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Srikakulam for advanced treatment. |
