A 14-year-old student died and 7 of his schoolmates sustained serious injuries after a jeep ran over them as they crossed a pedestrian lane in the Philippines.

Most jeepney type public conveyance here gets very infinitesimal maintenance and was often driven by people who got their licenses by bribery and was never really schooled properly in driving schools. It is very common for them to loose brakes and do damages everywhere. never rode in one for more than 20 years now.
