1 Dead, 3 Wounded when Car Stops to Let Group of Elderly People Cross the Road
A group of pensioners returning from their vegetables gardens were waiting to cross the road when a motorist stops to let them cross resulting in the car behind rear-ending the stopping car and careening into the group of elderly people. A 72 yo died in the hospital while 2 suffered broken legs and one a broken pelvis. Motorist that stopped gets prosecuted. |

Now that's just fucking stupid. Why stop when there was lots of oncoming traffic as well? It's not even a crosswalk. That's as bad as the woman who stopped to help some ducks across the road, and the motorbike rider with his kid rear-ended her and killed themselves. That said... it's still the responsibility of the driver behind to PAY THE FUCK ATTENTION TO WHAT IS AHEAD. This was avoidable. If dickhead with family was watching the road, and not yacking to his wife and kids in the back seat, this would not have happened. So fuck them too. Not to mention, wearing shoes. I think that should factor into the prosecution, since it's obvious the guy who did the damage wasn't wearing appropriate footwear to be driving. |

What the hell did he take out of his trunk and throw at the victims? At first I thought it might be a first aid kit, but why throw it? He didn't pick it up when he walked over to the victims, he just walked right by it. |

It could have been "accident gear" that he was looking for and that stuff was in the way and when he found it, he tossed it. My only guess.
