Re: Zoo Lion Kills Lioness
She was already uptight about him being there, that much was clear. It's not typical behaviour for a male lion to kill a female, even a high-ranking female, in the wild. It is typical for them to kill cubs of a rival male though to ensure only his genes persist. I wonder how old this female was? She didn't look very mature. Could be possible he saw her as "too young" and the instinctual thing to do in this case is kill any cub for the reason I already mentioned. Not sure though. |

Re: Zoo Lion Kills Lioness
Captivity. All for the sake of people getting their rocks off looking at caged wild animals. This is what happens when you put two deadly animals from completely different locations in the same enclosure with little to no time to integrate. I love the keeper on top of the pen at the very end. He starts spraying water and is clearly yelling and waving at the lion... What's he trying to say: "No, bad lion! Don't give in to your wild, natural, killer instincts and maul that lioness invading your territory." Fucking idiots... Male lions are incredibly territorial and will frequently kill other male or female lions just because they're in the way, and that's in the wild, not in some fucking shitty enclosure. Hope one of the keepers fall in next. Can't wait to see that video on here! |
