That was horrible indeed. The bullets that penetrated the teenager must've caused extreme internal bleeding though. He was already dead, and choking on his own blood could very likely have just sped up the painful process.

Turning him over would still probably lead to death, but slower. The chance of living that one would probably be very slim even with help, when you see the amount of blood that's coming out from him
