I'm still shocked that you pricks think you are somehow more "civilized" because you think the right to self defense is granted by someone else. Sure it sucks when some asshole uses a gun to mass murder kids or anyone else for that matter. What you fail to acknowledge is how many people's lives have been saved by guns, or even the threat of guns by lawful responsible gun owners. Maybe where you live you have no need for a gun and that's just fine. As for your opinion on how Americans practice self defense, when we want your opinion, we'll water board you until we get the opinion we want, and then leave you sticky, sore-assed, broke and confused.

If being in a civilized society means I must let some ignorant person decide how I can defend myself in a life or death situation, then I will be just fine in my "backward" country. To think that my family's lives are to be risked so that some self-righteous arrogant fool can pat themselves on the back and think he is protecting somebody else's kid. We all see the carnage that man inflicts upon other men right here on this site, and it doesn't take a gun to mass murder. One of the most basic rights Americans hold is that people have the right to defend themselves. Not everyone has to agree, and people are free to leave the US any time they want. Maybe they should leave. But everyday I hear of millions of oppressed people who want to come here. Who risk their lives and all they own to come here. Americans will not follow third world countries. Americans lead. Do we have our share of problems? Absolutely. Being just like Europe or Australia is not one of them.
