I have to admit, I only learned this recently myself... but natural selection isn't actually about killing anything off... therefore, making something better. I actually wish it were... it sounds more badass.  It's actually the opposite... and the driving process of evolution. Natural selection is when certain organisms thrive, survive and reproduce more successfully than others... evolving whatever they are a part of. That... is a very lay explanation... but I didn't feel like reading all this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_selection  Edit: having thought about it... perhaps something killing itself off like this dumbass in the video is a small part of natural selection. Innately, he knew he wasn't going to contribute to humanity, so he offed himself.
