This is the exact reason not everyone lives to be a senior citizen. Stupidity.

He closed his eyes. He knew what he was doing. Poor guy.
I agree. Along with the other things that make it pretty obvious. Closing his eyes when he put it to his head is another giveaway that he knew what was about to happen. He didn't look at the camera or his friends or have a smile or smirk on his face. He was calm and emotionless.

Re: ~Young Man Accidentally Shoots Self In Head~

I honestly find it hard to believe it's an accident when you pull the slide to chamber a round, and put it to your head and pull the trigger.

Are we to believe he just never checked it for bullets? Or he doesn't know what guns do?,

I call bs, he did a suicide, he just didn't tell his friends filming that's what he was doing. In this day, everyone has a phone/ computer. Everyone knows how guns work. I could believe it maybe if he didn't chamber it, that he didn't know a bullet was in the chamber, even though that's hard to believe too.

I wouldn't even point a gun at myself or anything if it had bullets in the magazine let alone chambered. And I would check 3 times before I started feeling it out.

The first thing I told my kids when I showed them my guns. "This gun will kill you so fast you won't even have a chance to get help. It's not a toy, you will be dead, you will never see me or mom again, because you will be dead".

And I think they got the message, just as I got that message when my dad told me that when I was little.
Well said. Dangerous things are dangerous and it should be our responsibility to teach young children the basic principles of firearm safety, that they are not toys and should never be played with. They should always assume the gun is loaded and in my opinion I never point a gun at anyone or anything I don't want to destroy even if it's for certain it's unloaded. I practice sometimes dry firing but I always am damn sure the gun is not loaded and even then I never point it at people and I try to be aware that if in the very rare chance that somehow I didn't notice a live round was chambered I dry fire in a safe direction where the bullet cannot overpenetrate. Guns are tools that can be very dangerous just like driving cars can be. Teach children to respect all things that can potentially cause harm regardless if it's guns, cars, operating a chainsaw etc.
