Re: WW2: Brutal Combat Video Collection
This is an excellent compilation, but it's a compilation. For one xample: "The Russian Onslaught" uses footage from both the Russian and European fronts, and from all combatants (American, English, German, Russian...). Still, it's the best I've seen.

Re: WW2: Brutal Combat Video Collection
I could never imagine the hell that was nor the mental impact it had on them. The only thing i think i can imagine is the heroism they took a stand for against a tyrant. At most the highest documentary i ever seen in my life. I used to watch these with my dad when i was a kid. the ones i seen with my dad do not compare to this. Awesome |

Re: WW2: Brutal Combat Video Collection
AMAZING post!!!! And the fact that most of the non-US footage was in color is all the more amazing. For those of you interested in the music, this is what I've come up with: #1 "Do You Think I'm Saxon" - Hans Zimmer #2 "Budget Meeting" - Hans Zimmer #3 unknown (still working on it) #4 "Woad to Ruin" - Hans Zimmer #5 "Preliator" - Globus The 3 HZ songs are from the King Arthur soundtrack. Very fitting music I think. |
