Would be a bit too suspicious if gang members would be driving around with a wood chipper attached on the back. Would be the first thing the feds would investigate with chemicals when a rival gang member goes missing. Barrels and acid and shovels are more compact. And the body would need to be dead for a while and frozen stiff first before you could rely on the machine to thoroughly turn it into a mince meat and not leave chunks of skin and meat you would have to bury or dissolve anyway.

I've been kind of waiting for one to appear on a Zamboni in Columbia or Mexico. Equipped with the little musical dinger that plays on the ice cream trucks, of course. And with a driver dressed as a clown. An EVIL clown.
