It’s not so very long ago that that sort of thing happened in the west too. Health and safety came along long after heavy machinery did, but for good reasons.

The Chinese will, in turn, become educated and civilised, and introduce common sense and logic to their population.

Probably not happen in our lifetimes, but one day.
