Re: Worker Swallowed by Boulder Crusher
It looks like he was trying to unlodge that stuck boulder. Seems crazy to even be allowed to attempt something as dangerous as that.

Re: Worker Swallowed by Boulder Crusher
Granted, I'm not an expert. But from my understanding most require specific sizes to be fed. There is a choke size that allows the boulder to be chipped at. If the whole thing goes on the motors can produce enough torque to keep chipping. So boulders and rocks get chopped at, bounce around, and chipped away at. Over and over.

Re: Worker Swallowed by Boulder Crusher
Wow, no osha! Just straight medieval s***. At least I get it done with have a rope tied to him so as soon as something like that happen they going to pull them up. Now I know they didn't have carabiners but that would help. I would have never gotten on top of that f****** rock to try to join loose then don't they have big metal poles they can do that with I would have got fired before I jumped in there. |

Re: Worker Swallowed by Boulder Crusher
Damn how long does it take to turn a machine off? Why have the machine on while he's doing that shit in the first place? If a guy is getting down inside the machine shouldn't there at least be a guy over there with their hand on the switch so they can turn it off immediately if something happens. That's just fucking stupid.
