Old man trying to administer CPR never drops his cigarette.

I’ve also never seen 2 people giving CPR at the same time. Did they think that would double his chance of survival?

Looks like those bottles had become live. Maybe they’d broken an electrical socket behind them and became live, who knows. Looked like when his lower leg touched them he got a shock.

Looked more like they were humping him instead of giving CPR.

Re: Worker Suffers Electric Shock and Receives Cpr but Died

5 mistakes that people make unable to save people who are electrocuted:

When these mistakes are made, both the rescuer and the person suffering from electric shock can die. Therefore, it is very important to save people with proper electric shock method.

Many people do not understand the nature and harm of electric current to people, so it is necessary to provide emergency treatment to people suffering from electric shock.

During the emergency of people suffering an electric shock, people often do 5 basic errors:

1. Do not consider disconnected power

This is the biggest and most dangerous mistake. The rescuer was too hasty, losing his calm to pull the victim from the power source. But if the power is not turned off, the rescuer can also be electrocuted by the victim's body.

2. Hurry and take the victim to an emergency

At this time, the rescuer missed 3 minutes of heart pressure, to breathe to save the victim's life. Statistics show that timely, proper respiration in the first minute is 98% likely to save a victim of apnea when electrocuted. Conversely, if not being given CPR, the victim may die on the emergency.

3. Pour water on people, or bury victims under the ground.

There are still some people who believe that being electrocuted is accumulating electricity in people, so it is necessary to pour water into people or bury victims under the ground, the electricity will run through people to the ground.

This method is not only ineffective but also misses 3 minutes of important heart blowing, while lowering the body temperature, which endangers the victim's life.

4. Allow the victim to remain in position when they see signs of regaining consciousness

At that time, emergency personnel need to transfer victims to recovery posture (lying on the right side), helping the victim to breathe easily, without causing chest pressure or inhaling their own vomit. This mistake will result in the victim dying while waiting for an ambulance.

5. Artificial respiration wrong technique

If placed in the wrong position, it may be dangerous for the victim. For example, the hand is placed incorrectly in the heart position to squeeze the chest but set down to the abdomen.

At this time, when pressed down, it will push the gas up to the heart, causing danger to the victim. Besides, if the pressure is not enough and the speed (5 cm for adults, at the rate of 100 beats / minute), it will not work to save the victim's life.
These fucking guys are dangerous. They'd have been better off just giving chest compressions. That alone would have gotten fresh oxygen to his lungs while helping the heart circulate blood. That said I'll bet that 90% or more of American companies have no on going CPR training in house.
