A serious workplace accident has just occurred at the XLTN2 construction package, which involves relocating and reinstating drainage systems, traffic signs, lighting, and traffic signal equipment, as part of Ho Chi Minh City's Metro Line No.2 project.

The deceased was Nguyễn Văn Tư, born in 1964. He was working on road surface renovation when he was unexpectedly struck on the head by an excavator. The cause was that Nguyễn was standing in the excavator’s blind spot, so the operator did not see him while manoeuvring the equipment.
