Women Mowed Down By Speeding Vehicle
Two women were hit by a speeding vehicle this Monday (18) in Punjab's Jalandhar. The incident took place at the Jalandhar-Phagwara highway around 8:30 am local time. According to reports, N.K. and her friend, both residents of Dhanowali village, were victims of a hit and run incident while they were attempting to cross the road on their way to work. 'N' died on the spot while her friend is in critical condition. The accused, who has already been arrested, has been identified as Amrit Pal Singh. Singh is an inspector for the Punjab Police. An investigation has been opened.  |

Looks like the driver panicked and instead of avoiding them he ran into them. It's called target fixation.

Terrible place to try and cross, given that there’s hardly any shoulder to speak of. They probably crossed there everyday, but not any more.

~ I kept looking at the road on the left of the video expecting what is a most likely scenario for an accident every 3 seconds . Everyone looks like they own the road, whether walking, biking, motorcycling, or driving. Then the video ended & realized I totally missed it.   ~ Then I saw it again, & realized the 'accident' was at the upper middle of the video. ~ The driver guy did it on purpose, it was most probably premeditated, because he got tired of the same highway froggers doing it everyday at the same time, just as he goes by there, everyday at the same time, & he expects to go unpunished because he is a cop.   |

~ I think the driver meant to do it since he probably drives thru there everyday at the same time, & they cross thru there everyday at the same time also. So he just got tired of getting scared of a probable accident happening, so he decided to just make it happen, since it was gonna happen anyway.   |
