A woman, identified as Martha W., was killed after being run over by a container truck whilst crossing the road in Georgetown, Guyana. The driver stopped his truck a few metres down the road, before running away from the scene.

The woman was killed five minutes after leaving some friends. She was reportedly having a few social drinks with them.
A "few" drinks that caused her not noticing a big truck driving on the road. However the truck was speeding like many do over there.
