How does the heart leap out of the body in these accidents? We never see a lung, a kidney or a liver jump out of a body. But a still beating heart, we see it on many occasions. Any medical people on this forum have an explanation?

Oh damn, she is a mess. I hope they can do something with her so she can have a nice funeral. She looks pretty messed up. I know snakes have crazy hearts. We killed a rattle snake in the yard many years ago when my sons were young, still in school, and one day I killed a rat tle snake in the yard. I skinned it and we were going to eat it later so was preparing it for cooking. I took the heart out and it was still beating. We kept that heart for over 15 hours and it was still beating!!! I can't imagine a human heart beating for that long outside the body, but there was this snake.....
