Motorcyclist Dies at the Scene of an Accident in Manaus, Brazil

I thought I'd share this because it's the only time I've ever seen a Brazilian being worked on by paramedics after a traffic accident. Not saying it doesn't happen, I'm sure it does, but we just don't get the videos of it.

A motorcyclist identified as F A R d S, 35, died at the scene of a serious accident around 8:30 pm this Saturday, 3, near Bola do Sauim, district of Industrial District 2, East Zone of Manaus.

A team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service arrived quickly, carried out procedures to resuscitate the motorcyclist, but he suffered head trauma, in addition to other injuries, and died on the spot.

The collision of the motorcycle with a car, according to witnesses, occurred when the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions. A group of pedestrians who were crossing the artery escaped being run over.

According to preliminary information from military police, the man who died was a motorcyclist by application and was traveling to his residence when he suffered the accident in which he lost his life.

The driver of the Dodge Ram vehicle, with which F A collided the motorcycle, was arrested and taken to the Police District for the appropriate procedures.

After the doctor from the Samu team confirmed the motorcyclist's death, the police officers from the 28th Interactive Community Company (Cicom) called the Criminal Expertise and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) to remove the body from the accident site.

The body pickup trucks (BPTs) were all dispatched to other scenes at the time. BPTs are efficient and can handle multiple loads, so I am sure one was in transit to let the traffic move again. BPTs are the most efficient part of Brazil governance. Other nations can save so much time and $$$ by switching from EMT to BMT squads.
