Re: Woman in a SUV Drowns in Her Car After Driving into a Flooded Tunnel in Houston
No it was most likely the water pressure difference (water outside, air inside) that made it too hard to open the door...the thing is...once there is water inside as well the doors should pop right open because of equalized pressure..but she likely gave up to early...also head rests pop off and have sharp spikes on the end. And to the person asking if she looks Black...yes she looks black...even if she is mixed...she looks black...stfu |

Re: Woman in a SUV Drowns in Her Car After Driving into a Flooded Tunnel in Houston
I lived in Houston at one time. They don`t have storm drains that I know of. Me and a friend went to a party in a highrise apt.....While at the party Housron had the most hellish thunderstorm I`ve ever seen. We left when the storm was over and got into his 2 DAY OLD brand new Camaro. The streets were fine but in seconds the water rose so high it was up to my ankles in the car. When it got to our knees we climbed out the windows. Water was up to my waist by then. Luckily, there was a high embankment and we made it up there. Well, we watched that Camaro sink until only the roof was showing. Glad I moved.

Re: Woman in a SUV Drowns in Her Car After Driving into a Flooded Tunnel in Houston
She wasn't driving that fast when she hit the water, looked like maybe she thought it wasn't deep? Who knows. I saw an episode of myth busters about going underwater in a car...... The myth was you can open the door once the car fills up, and equals out the pressure on the door. Turns out that if you go under, and you don't have the means to break a window, you're fucked Gotta roll down a window ASAP. |

Re: Woman in a SUV Drowns in Her Car After Driving into a Flooded Tunnel in Houston
Was someone operating the camera while it recorded her going through the water, or was the camera movement automatic? If it was a person watching her, did that person do anything to help such as calling 911? Or going to her vehicle if the person was near her? I hope they didn't just sit back and watch...

Re: Woman in a SUV Drowns in Her Car After Driving into a Flooded Tunnel in Houston
Whole family was lost in Ireland a few weeks ago, SUV Slid into the sea, but the father managed to hand the baby out the window,to a young guy who swam out to help...makes you wonder, you must only have seconds, once the water is window level..She seemed to have more time, but with the drink in her system,panic...she wasted it...maybe she thought it was going to settle, and not go under completely, but i doubt she was even thinking that clearly...
