Sometimes drivers don't even see the water until it's too late. The water doesn't reflect and before you know you've driven full head into your potential drowning.

Wow, people do some dumb things. Why the hell would someone drive into what looked like a sinkhole or a flood waters 12 feet deep?

I know, right!? Having driven into the tunnel & right into the huge pond of water at the bottom of an obvious funnel intentionally, past the guy blocking off the road because I'm sure she was pulling a bitchy "Feck dat, I know better than he cuz I know everything", you'd think she'd have or at least ATTEMPT an exit strategy and yet...nada... Not even a half-hearted attempt to kick out or break the rear windows or open the boot (if the windows/doors couldn't be opened normally, as might be the case with electronics). One step "forward" with technology & yet a simple crank handle could potentially have saved her life! |

It's a female thing. They truly are less talented at driving & visual-spatial recognition, as well as less problem-solution orientated & capable.  My wife, always breaking things I didn't even know could be broken & me learning to mend every household item known to man to keep us out of the poorhouse, employing nothing but common sense, intuition & logic. I know it's practically impossible for us guys to understand, because the number of illogical things she did & did not do or even attempt is astounding. An idiot male would never have continued full-on into said sinkhole & probs would have reversed or jumped out, though he MAY have died over the 10 minutes it took for her to drive right into the water & then sit there waving a mobile phone round while sinking instead of using every last breath to escape, but he would have at least TRIED a few logical things. And American chicks are even more arrogant than most, thinking they know EVERYthing...till they need our help & die without it... or starve or live in caves without medicine or mobile phones  ...She also seems to be more concerned about not losing her car than her life... |
