A woman from West Papua, Indonesia, was burned by a vigilante mob after being accused of kidnapping. She was recovered alive and taken to hospital, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

The incident began when someone shouted "child abductor" to the woman. The crowd, which was also restless because of the rumors of child abduction on social media, immediately became angry.

In fact, the woman was stripped naked. The officers came, however, and asked the woman to be dressed again.

At that time, the crowd was quite large. Although the woman suspected of kidnapping children was secured, the mob's anger did not subside. Instead, the woman was doused in gasoline and set on fire.

The police are investigating the vigilante action, including the crowd who shouted kidnapper and the situation of whether or not there was a child.
