I remember seeing one video a long time ago where a girlfriend set her boyfriend on fire resulting in her own immolation. He puts himself out rather quickly and even continues to go help her and walks around as if nothing is wrong.

IMHO, what you are probably seeing adrenaline at work. 50% Of burn victims succumb to shock, respiratory failure & sepsis all lead to multiple organ failure, causing death.
