Woman is Run Over on Crosswalk by Bus
A 31-year-old woman died after being hit by a bus in the Penha region, in the east of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The victim worked for an accounting firm, and was on her way to work. The bus driver, 64, was arrested by police. He claimed he did not notice the victim crossing due to the sun. |

If that was a red light, then the excuse from the bus driver isn’t acceptable. He was going far too fast for his claim of reduced visibility.

because the light is green and traffic is supposed to stop doesn't mean other factors can't contribute to a disaster and cross the road without any situational awareness.
