I don’t know what it was but something made them all (including the girl) tense up milliseconds before impact. It can’t have been the rocks breaking off the main cliff as they were already in the air by then.
Could they have heard the sound of its velocity eg the whistling sound?
She knew something was up....

WaWuShan Scenic Spot? That isn't the world famous scenic spot that China and the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) boasts as "The Tallest Waterfall In All Of Asia!" is it? Then a couple months ago a tourist got curious and climbed to the top of the waterfall to see its source - a water pipe Absolutely true story, btw. Poor lady though Maybe it was piece of concrete from where they laid the pipe
