C.P.P., age 65, was shot and killed this past Monday night during an armed robbery on a public transit bus in Barranquilla. The woman was on her way to see her husband at his place of employment.

The suspect Marco Fontalvo Arrieta, age 24, was quickly found and apprehended in the Las Gardenias neighborhood. Found with him were ammo rounds, a cell phone and the cash along with other items he had stolen.

Arrieta has nine previous charges for aggravated theft, prison escape, manufacturing and possession of drugs, and illegal possession of firearms.

This would be 31st murder of a woman this year in Barranquilla.

"She was a person who rummaged for food as it was, now she made masks and sewed", as the neighbors describe C.P.P. 65, a woman killed by a bullet in the chest, at the hands of a criminal who assaulted a Cootragal bus in La Cordialidad, La Sierrita neighborhood sector, southwest of Barranquilla.

The woman lived in a wooden house located on Calle 48 and Carrera 20, Mundo Feliz urbanization, Galapa.

From her home she went daily to Barranquilla, to her husband's workplace to accompany him, an appliance workshop in the Chiquinquirá neighborhood. "While I accompanied her, as she was a dressmaker, she made masks, sewed and sold catalog products," said Ana, the woman's neighbor.

In the afternoon, 'C' always returned to Galapa, on time, because she had to feed her pets.

L.L.M.M., 'C's niece in law, said that yesterday "like never before" she went home "very late."

"When we saw that she did not arrive, we became concerned and began to call her neighbors. But shortly after an uncle called us, he said he needed someone to come to the San Ignacio Clinic, where my aunt was, but I arrived and she was dead, ”he said, still very sad about what happened.

Mendoza classified 'C's death as a cold-blooded event, because her aunt did not object to the robbery and yet she shot him that killed her immediately.

"She did it right away and took the belongings that were later returned to me: a cell phone with keyboards and 9,000 pesos full of blood," said Leydi, who added that the crime cannot go unpunished.

Payares Pava, who was a native of Valledupar, had been living in Mundo Feliz for 5 years. She left four children.

For this crime, the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla captured 24-year-old M.A.F.A., at 1:30 in the morning of Tuesday, apprehended inside apartment 104 of tower 7, set 11 of Las Gardenias.

Fontalvo's capture was possible because the murder was recorded in the bus's security camera, so Sijín agents were able to identify him and then search his home, in which they found the clothes with which he committed the crime and objects stolen.

According to the Police, Fontalvo has a long criminal history with actions in Medellín, a city in which he was arrested several times for the crime of trafficking and carrying drugs. In Barranquilla he had also fallen due to theft and escape of prisoners

What I meant was, I can tell, just by this dude's mugshot, that if Bus Fare costs between $2.50 and $3.75 in Colombia, his life would be worth approximately 1 cent.
That's to say, anyone offered one penny to hit that guy in the face with an axe or bowling pin repeatedly, would have to be out of their mind not to do so.

However, as I doubt Colombian bus fare does actually cost that much, I had to word it the way I did in my earlier post, lest I spoke in fractions of a cent, and I didn't want to be disrespectful.
