Yep. I know from my years of work with aircraft accidents that the rapid decrease in speed pulls the organs away from the attachments, like a heart ripping away from the blood vessels. Same for liver and lungs. So you look at the person in the passenger compartment and they don't LOOK too bad, but their organs are ripped loose. Internal bleeding kills them in seconds.
