The car mustve been flagged as "be on the lookout" but it looks like she gave him probable cause by talking when she shoulda just kept her mouth shut. He knew about the drugs in her bag, so she obviously told him it was there, and then he found the pills or whatever else was in the other bag, so shes thinkin shes fucked because gun + drugs is going gunna land her some mandatory minimum jail time...she shoulda just took the what..3-5 years max for that combo?...no judge wouldve gave her a death sentence, that's for sure. So stupid to throw your life away like that.

Of course there are minimum physical requirements and training you need to complete before you can gain entry to the police academy, everyone knows that. Occasionally after that, fitness tests are required but there's no penalty if you fail them. So, with no motivation to maintain it and 1000 boxes of dunkin' donuts later, you look like this guy.

Perhaps, there is more to this story than this short clip, but this is also my question. From the video shown, the officer had no reason to search her. I feel there needs to be more accountability for law enforcement so they don't feel invincible when doing their job. Drug laws are changing, so hopefully these types of incidents will be reduced, but I hope these types of unlawful searches also are reduced with the potential changes in qualified immunity. Police officers who act off the cuff like this make it harder for other honest officers who really wish to make a change in their community. |
