Re: Woman in Crosswalk Fatally Run Over by a Green Bus
In praxis: no, drivers don't give pass to pedestrian; but in Mexican laws: yes, zebra crossing are priority... That bus driver will have harder the possibility to avoid go to jail.

Re: Woman in Crosswalk Fatally Run Over by a Green Bus
That evil bus was just lurking behind the tree waiting for the perfect time to strike, then seamlessly blended in with some other green buses and executed the perfect kill. Like something from Mission Impossible |

Even with potential earbuds in, how are you this oblivious about your surroundings? Especially at a crosswalk.

Re: Woman in Crosswalk Fatally Run Over by a Green Bus
I can clarify that for you, people have a right of way in the zebra crossing, the problem is most people from central Mexico have 0 respect for traffic rules and regulations, which are similar to those in the US, curiously enough only in cities from northwest Mexico pedestrians are given the right of way as for the rest of Mexico, pedestrians beware, you can think of streets and roads as "frogger crossings" (That old arcade game of the 80s) Imagine that in Mexico city is a common sight to find cars parked on the sidewalks, complete anarchy! |
