I eat my chicken, then cross the road when the walk/don't walk light reads walk, then I walk within the legal cross walk stripes, making it safely across the street on a satisfying full stomach of chicken. Works every time.  |

As others have said, that woman was at fault. I don't feel any sympathy for that person, although I feel sympathy for the driver since he's mostly fucked now. Unfortunately, it seems here in México that the stoplights / traffic lights are just for decorations. I haven't used public transport in ages, since I mostly walk to where ever I need to go, and I never jaywalk. Saying this, even if I see the light on green to cross, I always and I say always, double check 2 times at least to see if there are any incoming cars but you never know, so this is a bonus tip for you guys if you ever come to this piece of shit country; if you are going to walk across a green traffic light, double check both ways. Some drivers here have chinese-tunnel vision and don't give a fuck if the light is on green, yellow, blue, or even the color magenta. Those motherfuckers will ran you over without looking sideways, and it's 99.9% likely that they will get away with it. Best safe if you ever want to play russian roulette and come to this country.
