Re: Woman Commits Suicide by Jumping Face Down from 9th Floor Appartment
Horrible CPR. Had this been a viable patent, it's not very likely it would have resulted in a save. In order for CPR to be effective, compressions must be continuous, at a rate of about 100 per minute and about 1/3 the depth of the chest. The BeeGee's song Stayin' Alive is a good one to sing in your head to keep the rhythm of the compressions correct. Don't laugh, it really works if you don't do CPR very often. The Queen song Another One Bites the Dust works as well, but it is highly frowned upon to teach it that way. My partner caught me grinning one time while I was doing compressions and called me on it later. What can I say, the song just popped into my head. |

Re: Woman Commits Suicide by Jumping Face Down from 9th Floor Appartment
She has her arms crossed over her face at the point of impact, which may have stopped her head from cracking open. Hence no blood

I'd say the lack of blood to be normal considering in the video you can see she is covering her face with her hands before she hit providing some sort of cushioning for her skull. On that note! What a bounce huh? Got some air there. Good post. |

I agree...you would think that landing on her head would have made a real mess... When I was watching EMS giving her CPR... Her head and face appeared not to have any real visible injuries...@ least none that I could see.... Maybe most of the damage was internal... Stranger things have happened...
