Re: Woman & Child Hit at a Crossing

Here it is again. Who's fault? Well, it doesn't really matter who's fault it is. It's both the pedestrians fault and the driver's fault for failing to remain the primary protector of one's self. It is up to YOU to make sure that you are not putting yourself at risk. You don't walk out in traffic (even at a crosswalk) without making sure that everyone is stopping first. Especially if you are escorting a child. You have to be pretty oblivious to your surroundings to do something so utterly stupid. There is an endless list of reasons why a driver might not stop at a red light when he is supposed to, yet many pedestrians seem to ignore this fact and assume that ALL drivers are sober, and paying attention to the road at all times. Ridiculous unnecessary deaths that are preventable by the victim.

Re: Woman & Child Hit at a Crossing

From Wikipedia:

Dashcams are widespread in Russia as a form of sousveillance, because Russian courts prefer video evidence to eye witness testimony, and as a guard against police corruption and insurance fraud.
Thank you, kindly.
