maybe just maybe someone had called the surf instructor, seeking help from the drunk cop maybe it was the cop's wife or kids?? maybe the kids were his students and afraid of the abusive drunker dad who happened to be a cop  |

That guy was ostensibly so trashed he got stealth-assaulted by a vehicle with what is essentially a noisy-ass little weedwhacker motor on an empty, building lined street. Perhaps he couldn't hear anything but "reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" because he just popped off several rounds into the air in a semi-enclosed area, likely with the gun a foot from his ear. And then you have Righteous Indignation Da Silva bearing down on him from behind. Thinking very little, I imagine. When a man too intoxicated to feel pain or fear death is stumbling around with a gun he's clearly willing to use, perhaps it is best to confront the issue at a later time. I just can't imagine how he expected that to go. "All right motherfucker, you think you can intimidate me with your little 9mm Taurus? We'll see about that after I deliver a glancing, 16 mph blow with my 160 lb vehicle!" |
