No this guy died and the spotter in the red ought to be beat to a pulp by friends and family of the deceased. His organs were probably the equivalent of mashed fruit, leaking precious fluids, flooding the rib cage, killing him slowly.

No, they'd never have reacted quick enough no matter how good they were. 200kg, you have no chance of taking the strain within the fraction of a second it would have taken in this case. They are their to assist and guide, not catch dropped weights. |
