Re: A Violent Variation of Tug-o-War
^Sorry about that. The first time I saw this video, years ago, I thought it was real. I usually consider myself a really good judge of the authenticity of videos in general - and am surprised to say that I now agree this one is fake. One of the first posters pointed out that he thought the man's real arm is hidden behind his back. While incorrect (in my mind), it prompted me to take another look. |

Re: A Violent Variation of Tug-o-War
James - Look at the bulge laying across his stomach, extending down from his right shoulder. Is that not an arm? If not, what is it? The grainy footage, the atmosphere of the scene, and the people pictured - some kind of crazed Latin American guerrilla army, or something - contributes extremely well to the likelihood of it all. But looking at it again now, I can't get over the stomach bulge - and the way his entire right side looks "stuffed," and unnatural. I'm open to other opinions, but I can safely say I've changed my mind on this one! :-) |
