Re: VietNam Deadly Accident in Countryside Lane

I dont think a helmet would've saved him even if he was wearing one. Dat neck landing....

Also I dont know if it's the camera angle, or type of lens or something, but it kind of looks like the black shirt guy materializes out of thin air.

Re: VietNam Deadly Accident in Countryside Lane

It is clearly not a T intersection. The cyclist from the left is going at full speed through a four way intersection. Still there is no indication of who has the right of way.
Yes, my mistake. It is a 4 way.

I encounter these junctions in some countries and it is nerve wracking coming out of them as you have absolutely no vision due to the wall blocking your view. It also impossible to know you are driving through a junction sometimes unless someone familiar with the area is with you. There is often no signposts telling you are approaching one.

I get pretty angry with whoever designed these roads. I always hear stories of people getting killed at these junctions. The city planners should be tried for murder.

the buildings and roads were probably laid out before there were fast moving automobiles all over the place. lots of countries like this spent some money years ago to pave the roads, but they never bothered to put in the money to fix the layout or traffic patterns with the changing times.
