Re: Video of Stewart Running Over Driver Not Going to Be Up for Long
He could also have been downshifting at about that time and that is what you heard. As I pointed out before, Ward jumped out very close to the front of car #45. Then only 1.4 seconds after that he was hit by Stewart. Car #45 could easily have blocked Stewart's view of Ward until #45 passed him. Then there was only 1.4 seconds left which is not enough time for perception and reaction by Stewart to avoid the impact.

Re: Video of Stewart Running Over Driver Not Going to Be Up for Long
as i stated prior, these cars are set up to handle properly(mainly turning right) under the load of throttle. meaning if you want to turn right quickly, hit the throttle.

Re: Video of Stewart Running Over Driver Not Going to Be Up for Long
if the first car could avoid him so easily, so could've tony. he was a pro, pros don't make those sorts of mistakes. he wanted to scare him a bit, maybe tip him with his car, but because of the way they are designed it took out his whole body and killed him. it was a second degree murder for sure.

Re: Video of Stewart Running Over Driver Not Going to Be Up for Long
Clearly you know nothing about racing. On these muddy tracks and especially in races where you have to drift, to make a quick turn you must hit the gas and turn. I have a feeling he barely saw the guy -- especially since it wasn't well lighted and his suit was black -- and by the time he did he tried to swerve over by turning left and hitting the gas to get out of the way, and couldn't, ending up hitting him with the right rear tire. Fact of the matter is you don't get out of your car and attempt pointing someone out while standing in the middle of the track. Guy was an idiot and deserved what he got. |

Re: Video of Stewart Running Over Driver Not Going to Be Up for Long
Well, we know who the idiots are on DR.....the one's claiming this was intentional The forumla the police would use is rate+speed+time to determine if the driver had any possible chance of slowing down....and even than, most race car drivers are amped up with adrenline... No one would expect another driver to get out and stand in the middle of the track. This young guy lost his cool and it cost him his life, end of story. |
